Ariel Caviedes has a degree in Biochemistry from Universidad de Chile and a phD in Biomedicine from Universidad de los Andes (Chile). Ariel worked in molecular signaling that mediates cell death by excitotoxicity in the nervous system and the role NF-kB on those mechanisms. Later his research was focused on studying Psychiatric disorders and the finding of Biomarkers in extracellular vesicles of Bipolar and Unipolar depression. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the BrainLat Center focusing on Biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases.
