The Latin American Brain Health Institute (BrainLat) at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and the Multi-Partner Consortium to Expand Dementia Research in Latin America (ReDLat) invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research position in Brain Health.

  • Location: On-site (Peñalolén Campus, Santiago, Chile).
  • Duration: 1 year (renewable based on performance and funding availability).

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our multidisciplinary team. The project focuses on studying brain aging and dementia risk across diverse Latin American cohorts (ReDLat). The role involves integrating reproductive history, hormonal profiles, neuroimaging, cognitive outcomes, and blood-based biomarkers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Multimodal Analysis: Integrate and analyze multimodal datasets, including sociodemographic data, lifestyle factors, social determinants of health, and omics data.
  • Advanced Processing: Conduct advanced analyses of biomarkers and neuroimaging data.
  • Open Science: Build reproducible workflows for cohort data harmonization and analysis.
  • Modeling: Apply statistical models and machine learning techniques.
  • Scientific Output: Contribute to peer-reviewed publications, grant proposal writing, and scientific outreach.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Ph.D. in a related field, such as Bioinformatics, Data Science, Epidemiology, Neuroscience, or Biostatistics.
  • Experience: Demonstrated track record in biomedical data analysis and managing large multimodal databases.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and/or R for data management, visualization, and analysis.
  • Core Skills: Excellent scientific writing skills, autonomy, proactivity, and ability to work in an international, interdisciplinary team.
