This systematic review aims to describe the current status of Alzheimer’s Disease-related target genes modulated by miRNAs differentially expressed in peripheral fluid samples in MCI subjects to identify potential miRNA biomarkers in early stages of Alzheimer’s Disease. Serum, plasma and other body fluid miRNAs have emerged as a promising source of biomarkers for mild cognitive impairment and cognitive impairments related to Alzheimer’s disease.
