Alejandro Bateman has a degree in Biochemistry from Universidad de Concepción, Chile, and a Master degree in Social Communication of the Scientific Research, from Universidad International de Valencia, Spain. He also has training in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Chile, and in Community Management from DUOC-UC Institute, Chile. Furthermore, Alejandro has vast experience as a scientific communicator. He is the Community and Outreach Manager at BrainLat Institute, Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, Chile. Also, he leads the area of Science Communication embedded in a collaboration among several Chilean universities, wherein he is in charge of the development of a training program for new scientific communicators, participates in the open science team and is the program coordinator of the first massive knowledge communication network in Center-Southern Chile, called SaberConecta. Moreover, Alejandro is the host of streaming shows for the communication of health/science- and law-related topics and has been editor in underground social magazines. Lastly, he in an expert in debate techniques and sales pitch.
