Next generation of whole-brain computational models for understanding and modulating neurodegenerative diseases

The proposal aims to enhance computational brain models by incorporating empirical data on atrophy, Aβ, tau, and brain receptors, with a focus on Alzheimer’s disease and frontotemporal dementia. The objective is to understand the mechanisms and develop informed neuromodulatory interventions. Computational models will be employed using data from patients and controls from Latin America and the USA.
