I am a Biochemist and Master’s in Biochemistry from the University of Chile, with research experience in neuroimmunology and neuroinflammation. My research has focused on understanding astrocyte reactivity and evaluating the neuroprotective potential of Resolvin E1 and its nanoencapsulated formulation in models of neuroinflammation.
As part of my scientific training, I completed a research internship at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and the University of Carlos III of Madrid in Spain. I have also participated in research projects involving multiple sclerosis, mast cell degranulation, and viral ecology.
I am joining BrainLat as Scientific Coordinator for Dr. Claudia Durán-Aniotz, where I will support the development and coordination of scientific initiatives and contribute to collaborative research in brain health and neurodegenerative diseases in Latin America.
