I am beginning a new and transformative stage in my scientific career as a Postdoctoral Researcher in genetic and epigenomic epidemiology in brain health under the supervision of Dr. Carolina Ochoa-Rosales at the Latin American Brain Health Institute (BrainLat), Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. My research focuses on epigenetic studies exploring gene–exposome interactions and their influence on brain health, integrating multi-omic approaches—including genomics, epigenomics, and proteomics—to better understand the neurobiological mechanisms underlying conditions such as dementia. A key priority of my work is strengthening local evidence to enhance the representation of Latin American populations in global studies. Through this research, I aim to advance scientific knowledge and contribute to more equitable and sustainable public health strategies.
