Biografía

I studied a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Biology at the University of Chile, and I’m currently finishing my Ph.D. in Biophysics and Computational Biology at the University of Valparaíso. My research focuses on understanding the biophysical mechanisms of brain dynamics associated with healthy, pathological, and non-ordinary states of consciousness. Using tools from Theoretical Neuroscience, Information Theory, and Complex Systems, my participation in BrainLat consists in analyze and simulate human brain signals of different modalities (e.g., M/EEG, fMRI) to develop theory-grounded markers that allow the detection and prediction of pathological states and their associated biophysical mechanisms. The diversity of disciplines that interact in BrainLat eases the translation of this theory-grounded knowledge into clinical and technological applications.
